Sick little Bugger!!

I thought this card would be so appropriate because I haven't been able to do much crafting the past few days. My allergies are kicking my butt!! My eyes have been itchy and red and watering for 3 days now so I've been putting hot and cold compresses on them instead of creations :( Sad, I know, lol! So this little guy reminded me of that!! This is another card I made for my sick, get well, sympathy swap. I got the butterfly punch art idea from a punch art swap I was in at Convention 2011 and Polly Jones created her as Betty Butterfly. I just added the droopy eyes for this card! If you would like the list of punches that I used just email me here and I'll be happy to send it your way!! I hope to be back up to speed soon!

With Sympathy Card

Sympathy cards always seem to be one of the hardest cards for me to make. I decided to join in on a swap with fellow demonstrators for get well, sick and sympathy cards! Here is one card I came up with to use for my swap.

I used the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set and Soft Suede Ink and sponged all of the egdes. I embossed a piece of Crumb Cake with the Vintage Wallpaper folder and mounted it onto a Baja Breeze card base. I used the Labels Collection framelits with the Everyday Enchantment DSP from the Sale-a-bration catalog and then punched the bird in Baja Breeze and the branch in Old Olive. I've added a pearl eye and pearl accent to the sentiment and some Victoria Crochet ribbon ruffled up with a Vintage Trinkets pin.

Stepping outside my box!

Hello! So I told you yesterday about setting my goals and what I'm trying to do to achieve them! I was feeling a little under the weather after work yesterday and took a nice long nap! When I woke up I felt a little more energized and was ready for some stamping! So, I decided to make up a few Stampin' Up! cello bags with an Occasions mini and a Sale-a-bration catalog inside to hand.

I then used the Elementary Elegance stamp set FREE from the Sale-a-bration catalog with a few different colors of ink and coordinating paper (don't you just love how Stampin' Up! makes it so easy to do that!) and made a few 3x3 cards that I saw at Leadership last week in Texas. I slipped these into some little envelopes and placed them in the bags!

I decided that I wanted to make the cards re-useable so I hand wrote this message on a small post-it note and placed it inside of the cards! I slipped my business card inside the envelope too!

I hope this helps you to get motivated to step outside your box too!! Have a great day! :)

What are some of your goals?

Since I've returned from Leadership this past Sunday I've set some small goals for myself that I just know I can achieve! One of them is to hand out at least 10 hand stamped cards with mini catalogs to people I've never attempted to in the past! I will be posting pics soon of what I came up with to hand out!!So far so good.

Another goal I have is to start getting more involved with my downline and encourage them to set goals for themselves. I had my 1st downline meeting on Monday and it was so inspiring and so much fun! I never thought I'd be able to do it but I did and I even had time to make them a hand stamped card!! Everyone was able to attend except for my 2 out-of-towners! Which are in PA and CT so they are REALLY far away!! lol Do you want to see the card??

It's a 3"x3" card in Crumb Cake with a layer of the Everyday Enchantment DSP in the sale-a-bration catalog. (You can get it FREE! place a $50 order here!) I then took a 2-1/2" square of Whisper White Card stock and stamped it in Soft Suede using the Workshop Words stamp set we received free at the 2011 Stampin' Up! convention.  then took a 2-1/2" square of Pool Party and ran it through the Big Shot using the NEW framelits Labels Collection, the smallest one.  I stamped and embossed using the Fresh Vintage set from Sale-a-bration. I added an Itty Bitty Punch flower and a touch of bling with the rhinestones.

Have a great day!!

2012 San Antonio, TX Leadership re-cap

I know I posted a bit about this already but I wanted to share a few photos from this amazing event from Stampin' Up!
When I arrived to check in on Wednesday for my first leadership I received this adroable bag!! It's a sneak peek of some up and coming fabric! Love It!! I definitely need to learn how to sew very soon!

The bag was filled with a ton of goodies! We then got to do a make and take session when we get another bag full of goodies and enjoy some stamping time with friends!
During out break out session classes I had the opportunity to hear from Bonnie Thurber. She gave us some important details to look into on our My reports page for demonstrators to be sure we are getting the maximum benefits from our current titles and what we need to do to get our downlines to do the same! I'm already working on that one!
I also got to hear and amazing presentation on Coaching for Performance given by Jim Pitt and Natalie White. They both spoke about "my why" and I'm doing this activity with my downline tonight at my first downline meeting to be sure I understand what motivates my team so I can give them the support and coaching that they need to be successful in their businesses.
Patsy Waggoner gave a plethora of information in her Retaining and Engaging your downline class that really has me motivated to do my best and know that I can do it!!
My last class at Leadership was Why Women Buy presented by Carrie Cudney. Seeing all the information first hand has given me a new perspective on my customer base and who else can I get hooked on Stampin' Up!
